About this Project

I am a teacher who has lived between Qatar and America for 15 years. I have written the short novel, Facing Home: A View From Abroad under the pen name A.W. Moment, a name I created from an anagram of my given name.

This short novel is not a memoir. It is a work of literary fiction that parallels my own personal journey toward healing and acceptance. My intention is to provide my narrative for free with the belief that people who read it will be happy to support my work.

Why my book is Free

I thought about having my book published traditionally, but discovered that I am a better writer than a pitchman. The best words to sell my book, I reason, are found within the text itself.

With the current situation surrounding me in Qatar, while I shelter in place (March, 2026) I believe that my story should be read widely to inspire meaningful dialogue.
